Gavleston Criminal Defense Attorney Discussing 2nd Weekend Mardi Gras Arrestst

Hello, everyone. Last week, I shared with you the arrest statistics from the first weekend of Mardi Gras. Today, I’m here to update you on the numbers from the second weekend of the festivities.

On Friday, February 9, 2024, law enforcement made 57 arrests, including five for DWI. This seems to be in line with last Friday’s figures, though I encourage you to check last week’s numbers for exact comparisons.

Saturday, February 10, 2024, proved to be the busiest day this weekend, with a total of 86 arrests. Notably, 11 of these were for DWI, which is quite significant for a single night.

By Sunday, the numbers had decreased. Sunday saw 61 arrests, including six DWI arrests among that total.
