Matthew Sloan

1992 – 2020

“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.” 1 Timothy 1:15-16

Matthew’s Bio

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the tragic and unexpected passing of our Associate Attorney, Matt Sloan. Matt passed away in an automobile accident on Wednesday, May 13th, 2020. He was an exceptional attorney and an invaluable member of our firm. To say he will be missed is a severe understatement. Each of us at Mark Diaz & Associates grieves not only at the passing of a tremendous individual, but also for the loss his family suffers. As such, we ask that you keep Matt’s family in your thoughts as they go through this very difficult and trying time.

Matt’s unexpected passing is a loss for all of us who were fortunate enough to know and work with him. Quite frankly, the world lost an extraordinary human being when he left us. There are no words that could adequately express how much Matt will be missed in his professional and personal life; however, we also feel a great deal of gratitude for having been given the opportunity to work alongside him. Our firm will honor his memory in the way he would want us to, by continuing the work for his and our clients, which he held so very close to his heart and committed himself to fully.
