A graduate of South Texas College of Law, Benjy distinguished himself early in his career by being part of trial teams that clinched first place in both The National Civil Trial Competition and The Garland Walker Trial Competition. His professional journey includes a notable tenure as a felony prosecutor in Galveston County and serving as the president of the Galveston County Young Lawyers Association. His exceptional contributions to the legal community were recognized when he received the Outstanding Young Lawyer award in 2009, and he has been honored as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine.
